I'm a 3D animator and After Effects artist...but that's not all.
With time spent both behind the lens and in front of a monitor I offer a blend of both photographic and graphic design skills. My diverse experience means I'm able to help clients articulate and refine their ideas conceptually, and then guide those concepts through every stage of production, including the fusion of digital imagery with live action.
My career in visual storytelling began in the U.S. Navy. While working on documentary film crews in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East I began to cultivate an ability to craft elegant storytelling solutions in demanding environments. I worked in all aspects of production, from pulling focus to photographing traditional cel animation.
My first job out of the Navy was at Potomac Communications in Washington DC. I met deadlines every day, photographing and editing segments for Entertainment Tonight, ESPN and the Disney Channel. Then, across town at Professional Video Services, I performed on-line finishing and created graphic sequences for numerous broadcast and corporate clients.
As my career grew, so did my dreams. At a company called GVI, I established an in-house graphics shop where I produced identity graphics packages for demanding, diverse clients, including Annenberg Media, Urban Land Institute, Waggener Edstrom Worldwide, Fox Television, Booz Allen Hamilton, The U.S. Conference of Mayors, and more.
I use industry standard applications including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects. My motion graphics and visual effects work also includes robust skills in 3D animation using ElectricImage Animation System and Form-Z modeler.
As a motion graphic designer with 18 years of successful projects behind me, I bring a variety of well-honed skills to every project I undertake. Finding elegant solutions to creative challenges fires my soul. I'm here to create the images that will help you precisely convey what you need to say.
